Nintendo has announced its Black Friday deals, and the centerpiece is a bundle that comes with a Switch, a copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and three months of Nintendo Switch Online for $300. If this sounds familiar, it’s because it’s the same bundle Nintendo offered on Black Friday last year (and the year before that).
While it may not be a new offering, it remains a very good deal for people picking up a Switch for the first time or as a gift this holiday season. The deal goes live on Sunday, November 21, which is a few days ahead of Black Friday itself on November 26. Note that this is the standard Switch featuring an upgraded battery–but not the Switch OLED model.
In other hardware deals news, Nintendo’s Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit will see its price drop to $60 (down from $100), while Ring Fit Adventure will go for $55 (down from $80).
Nintendo is also cutting the price of a number of Switch games by $20 starting November 21. The following games will be available for $40 instead of $60 for the shopping season.
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
- Splatoon 2
- Super Mario Maker 2
- Paper Mario: The Origami King
- Kirby Star Allies
- The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
- Fire Emblem: Three Houses
- Astral Chain
- Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition
Nintendo said there will also be a “variety” of digital games on sale on the eShop–the company will announce the specifics in the days ahead.
Nintendo also reminded people that the Switch OLED model is out now. However, it’s extremely unlikely it will be discounted at major retailers, and it might not even be available for purchase on Black Friday. The Switch OLED hasn’t been readily available at retailers since launching last month.
In other news, there is a new Pikachu balloon coming to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 25–and Eevee joins Pikachu this year. Keep checking back with GameSpot for lots more on Black Friday in the days ahead.
GameSpot may get a commission from retail offers.
